East London Retrofit was founded by Ed Shearer and Douglas Cameron to serve local home owners, landlords, contractors and businesses. Our clients come to us for a range of services including architectural design and structural engineering, and increasingly for low energy upgrades (retrofit services). Higher energy costs, environmental concerns and new regulations place growing pressure on homes and businesses to address energy efficiency. We work extensively in Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Hackney & Haringey & Epping forest though our projects often take us further afield.

Douglas Cameron

Doug studied Architecture at the University of East London, worked in architectural practices in London, New York and Japan. His projects included the Helter Skelter for the London Olympics, the new concourse roof at Kings Cross Station and New York Ground Zero.
